Step 1: Place your index finger on the rounded end of the “egg” and line up the attachment arc on the flat end of the device so that it rests over the button of the instrument and rests BEHIND the ridge outlining the edge of the back plate of the instrument (see fig. 1).
Step 2: Push with your index finger to wrap the second attachment arc around the neck of the instrument (see fig. 2).
Additional Installation Notes: If either attachment arc is too narrow to fit around the neck or button of your instrument, gently pull it apart slightly with your fingers (see fig. 3). If either attachment arc is too loose to grip the instrument, gently push each side of the attachment arc together slightly (see fig. 4). Please note: The attachment arcs just need to fit snugly around the neck and button of the instrument. They shouldn’t be made so narrow that they are difficult to slide on the instrument.

Properly Installed Device: The attachment arc on the flat end of the device rests flat against the ribs of the upper bout AND right behind the ridge outlining the back plate of the instrument. The attachment arc on the rounded end of the “egg” is perfectly straight and gently wrapped around the neck of the instrument (see fig. 5).

Removal: Grasp the attachment arc and gently pull off the neck of the instrument. Avoid pulling just on the “egg” portion of the device to ensure the “egg” and attachment arcs don’t become detached from each other.
